Adya for D2C brands

AI agent for D2C brands: confirm COD orders before they ship

Every cash-on-delivery order that comes back costs you shipping twice and the ad spend that won it. Adya confirms orders on WhatsApp first, calls only the customers who stay silent, and answers order questions around the clock.

  • 60–70%[1]of Indian ecommerce orders are paid cash on delivery
  • ₹400–600[2]fully loaded cost of one return-to-origin (RTO)
  • ₹0.115[3]Meta's fee per WhatsApp order-confirmation message in India

Why COD orders leak money

A COD buyer has paid nothing, so a wrong address, a changed mind or a prank order costs them nothing either. You find out at the doorstep, after paying for the forward leg — and then you pay again for the reverse leg, packaging and handling.

Calling every order to confirm it works, but it spends your most expensive channel on the customers who would have said yes to a ₹0.12 WhatsApp message. The cheaper design is a ladder: WhatsApp first, a call only for the ones who don't answer, and a cancel-or-hold decision written back before the parcel leaves.

What Adya handles for D2C brands

One agent across phone calls, WhatsApp, website chat and email, with your team one click away.

WhatsAppVoice

COD confirmation ladder

A utility template asks the buyer to confirm within minutes of the order. Non-responders get an AI call in their language; the outcome — confirmed, cancelled, address corrected — goes back through your API.

WhatsAppVoice

Address fixes before dispatch

Missing landmark or wrong pincode? Adya asks for it on the same thread and updates the order through an action tool, so the courier gets a deliverable address.

ChatWhatsAppVoice

Where is my order

Live order-status lookups mid-conversation — the real tracking state from your system, not a cached guess — on website chat, WhatsApp or a phone call.

WhatsApp

Abandoned cart nudges

A marketing template to shoppers who opted in, with the cart link. Replies land in the same inbox, where Adya answers sizing, delivery-time and payment questions.

What a conversation sounds like

An illustrative exchange in Hinglish. Adya says it is an AI, follows the caller's language, and writes the outcome back.

Hinglish, outbound call
  1. AdyaNamaste, main Adya hoon, UrbanKurta ki taraf se ek AI assistant. Aapne kal ₹1,249 ka order cash on delivery pe kiya tha — kya main confirm kar sakti hoon?
  2. CustomerHaan, mera hi hai. Par address mein flat number galat hai, 304 nahi 403 hai.
  3. AdyaTheek hai, maine 403 kar diya hai. Order kal dispatch hoga aur aapko WhatsApp pe tracking link mil jayega. Kuch aur?
  4. CustomerNahi, bas itna hi. Thank you.

Utility, not marketing, for confirmations[4]

An order confirmation tied to a purchase the customer made is a utility template under Meta's guidelines — ₹0.115 rather than ₹0.8631 in India. Add a discount line and Meta can reclassify it as marketing.

Opt-in for cart recovery[4]

Abandoned-cart messages are marketing. Send them only to shoppers who opted in to WhatsApp messages from you, and honour STOP immediately — Adya suppresses an opted-out number across every campaign.

Customer data under the DPDP Act[5]

Addresses and phone numbers are personal data. Collect them for the order, keep them only as long as you need them, and tell customers how to reach you about their data.
