Adya for lenders

EMI reminders and collections that stay inside RBI's lines

Most overdue EMIs are forgotten, not refused. Adya reminds borrowers on WhatsApp with a payment link, follows up with a courteous call in their language, records the promise to pay, and routes hardship cases to your team.

  • 8 am–7 pm[1]the window RBI allows for recovery calls to borrowers
  • 1600[2]number series TRAI mandates for service calls by RBI-regulated entities
  • 10:00–19:00Adya's default calling hours, inside RBI's window

Early-bucket collections are a volume problem

In the first days past due, most borrowers just need a reminder and an easy way to pay. Spending a collector's time on each of them is expensive, and the harder accounts wait.

The risk runs the other way too: a collector who calls at 9 pm, calls repeatedly or threatens puts your licence at risk. An AI agent says the same compliant thing every time and keeps a record of every call.

What Adya handles for lenders

One agent across phone calls, WhatsApp, website chat and email, with your team one click away.

WhatsApp

Pre-due and due-date reminders

A utility reminder with the amount and a payment link. Paid links close themselves and cancel the remaining follow-ups.

Voice

Courteous follow-up calls

Borrowers who haven't paid get an AI call in their language that states the dues, offers the link again and asks when they can pay.

VoiceWhatsApp

Promise-to-pay capture

The date and amount the borrower commits to are recorded as structured outcomes, ready for your collections system.

Inbox

Hardship and disputes to humans

Job loss, illness, a disputed amount or a request for a person goes straight to your team with the transcript — the AI never negotiates or pressures.

What a conversation sounds like

An illustrative exchange in Marathi and Hindi. Adya says it is an AI, follows the caller's language, and writes the outcome back.

Rules that apply to lenders

Not legal advice — the rules we design around, with the source for each.

RBI: no calls before 8 am or after 7 pm[1]

RBI's August 2022 instructions bar recovery agents of banks, NBFCs and ARCs from calling borrowers before 8 am or after 7 pm, and from intimidation or misleading statements. Adya's quiet hours default to 10:00–19:00. A February 2026 RBI draft also proposes recording recovery calls; Adya records every call.

Service calls on the 1600 series[2]

TRAI mandates the 1600 number series for service and transactional calls by entities regulated by RBI, SEBI, IRDAI and PFRDA to their customers, so borrowers can tell a genuine call from a scam.

Borrower data under the DPDP Act[4]

Loan amounts and repayment status are personal data. Process them only for servicing the loan, and keep records on a defined retention period.
